Hints on Team building


1月に放送のあった、James Cameron の回、その翌週のDaniel Pinkの回からヒントを受けたのでメモ

プレゼン後半のリーダーシップについて言及している部分

gone through something together and they know they can never explain it, creates a bond, creates a bond of respect.
これと「飲みニケーション」を結びつけるのは少し乱暴だと思うが、チームビルディングのため、互いをリスペクトしあえる関係を構築するために、深いコミュニケーションを図ることが有効、という知見は役に立つ。

Lessons Learned

[The puzzle of motivation]

動機付けに関する話。20世紀型の報償は限定された範囲の状況では効果的。一方創造的な業務に対しては逆効果になる、という。
As long as the task involved only mechanical skill, bonuses worked as they would be expected: the higher the pay, the better the performance.
But once the task called for even rudimentary cognitive skill, a larger reward led to poorer performance.
